Christina's recap of her beautiful wedding day in Maupin

Our late fall wedding in Maupin, OR at the Imperial River Company hotel was magical. Despite being the end of October and cold and foggy the previous days, the weather was sunny and in the 50s when we finally tied the knot by the river. The hotel is right on the Deschutes river with most of the rooms looking right out onto it. The courtyard is strung with lights and a few fire pits which came in handy when the sun went down. The owners of the Imperial River Company, Susie and Rob, were wonderful to work with. Susie was communicative and worked with our schedule as we were planning our wedding from Nevada. She helped us with so many details and allowed us the use of all the indoor space in case the weather turned or if it just got too cold. Faith, the owner of the restaurant and bar, was incredible the day of. She and the hotel manager helped set up so many things, which was wonderful as we planned to do most of that on our own. Faith helped with last minute details and helped make the transition from ceremony to reception easy and smooth.

We had so much fun getting ready in the hotel’s suite and it was a little surreal when it was actually time for the ceremony. I really appreciate that I was able to enjoy every aspect of the day and just be in the moment because I knew Jerrilynn was there documenting the entire day. My now husband says his favorite part of the day was watching me come down the aisle (which was also my favorite part), then trying not to cry, and I love that we have those moments to look on forever. Jerrilynn was wonderful and so easy to work with. She worked around our schedule and unforeseen circumstances to keep in contact with us and ensure that our day went smoothly. She made sure to ask if there were specific shots or moments we wanted and took notes to make sure we got those. Jerrilynn was also great at working in the moment and helping guide us to get good staged shots. Every photo we have received we love, she ran with us wanting lots of candid type shots and they all are amazing. The edited photos turned out wonderful and in a variety of styles. The photos she took of Bobby and I, our handfasting ceremony, friends and family, and our goddaughter are so special to us. I have had so many people who were at the wedding and have seen the photos say how wonderful Jerrilynn was and that she made taking pictures fun, and compliment how beautifully the pictures turned out.

Thank you so much Jerrilynn for the gorgeous pictures I get to look back on. I can remember and feel the emotions I was experiencing in each one and that is an incredible skill to be able to capture that. You helped make our wedding day fun, easy, and memorable and I will be forever grateful for that.
